This two-hour interactive session delivered via Zoom will provide information about supporting treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for persons in the criminal justice and child welfare systems. Leaders, managers/supervisors, and line staff from the following organizations are encouraged to attend:

Content includes the neuroscience of addiction, MAT medications, the case for treating addiction in justice and child welfare systems, and how courts, child welfare, probation, district attorneys, and public defenders can support clients in maintaining successful recovery by supporting evidence-based clinical treatment of addiction. It also provides an overview of the web-based content designed for agencies to use for internal staff training.
